Engineering Tech Specialist - Warranty Returns Center

The Engineering Tech Specialist is responsible for performing electronic, mechanical, and software product testing, and related tasks, in support of the Raymond business. Tests electrical and mechanical parts and complex assemblies using standard and specialized equipment. Records test data manually and electronically. Analyzes and interprets data and makes recommendations on warranty claims. Assignments may require the use of methods that are not completely standardized or prescribed. May function as an individual contributor on isolated tasks or as a member of a team.



  • Responsible to test iWarehouse and other specialized Raymond products.
  • Assembles, repairs, or fabricates standard and often new equipment, parts, or test fixtures.
  • Tests products and equipment from verbal and written instructions, resolving routine questions and problems and some uncommon questions and problems.
  • Records, organizes, and presents test data. Will be required to process and report data following defined methods, including the use of spreadsheets, graphs, and formal written reports and oral presentations.
  • Will be required to extract engineering/manufacturing data from various prescribed and non-standardized sources internal and external to the Company.
  • Communicates test results to other technicians, administrators, engineers, managers, or manufacturing employees with an approach that supports and develops teamwork and the timely completion of projects.
  • May provide guidance to other technicians in areas of specialized expertise.


The successful candidate will also possess:

  • Familiarity with gauges, indicators, meters, etc.
  • Experience with the use of electrical test equipment such as DC power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, electrical test fixtures, and other test equipment.
  • Good communication and analytical skills in order to interpret and present data as well as make recommendations.
  • Experience with wireless and wired networks.
  • The ability to fluently read/interpret electrical prints and schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

The following experience is preferred:

  • ERP software including SAP and CRM
  • Networking
  • Forklift certification

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
