Electrical Engineer, Product Engineering

Job Description Responsible for Electrical Engineering support of Greene product line models and design configurations. The candidate will be involved with engineering and design of various basic to complex vehicle electrical systems and microprocessor control systems, utilizing traditional engineering techniques such as design, analysis, calculation, test, and evaluation. This will include troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving. Provides customer, field service, and supplier interface and support along with support to the factory on engineering-related issues. Responsible for product cost, reliability, warranty, and cost of operation impact of decisions. Work is completed with supervision appropriate to experience level. Depending on experience, may be tasked with either technical assignments and/or program leadership assignments.   JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS: Works with supervision to investigate issues, establish root cause, and make adaptations/modifications to existing designs. Less supervision and more latitude for independent action would exist at higher engineer level. Recommends changes in project direction in response to changing business requirements. Provides support for new product development teams. May have responsibility for small projects or major vehicle sub-systems. May lead interdepartmental teams. Keeps the manager informed of progress, changes, priorities, and project cost/schedule status. May present project status to senior management. Possesses the ability to plan, organize and carry out technical activities. Ability to present technical material to a diverse audience, both orally and in writing. Ability to successfully multi-task is critical. The candidate should be competent in applicable PC applications. Experience with SPICE simulation type software, Enovia, and/or JDEdwards is desirable. Experience with a New Product Development process, multi-disciplinary inter-company teams, and/or previous project management experience is desirable. Experience with CANbus, circuit card design and layout, microprocessors, power circuits, C programming, electric motors (AC and DC), energy storage systems, and UL standards is desirable. Strong communication skills are also required, to be able to work across a broad spectrum of personnel to resolve technical issues. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
