Development Engineer - Systems Integration

Job Description This opening is in the department responsible for the design and commercialization of new products and sub-systems. Assignments include engineering analysis and design of various basic to complex vehicle systems, utilizing traditional engineering techniques such as design, analysis, calculation, and test. Additionally, this position will involve investigations of new technologies related to automated material handling products. Assignments may be specific to certain models or may span multiple product lines. Responsible for product cost, performance, reliability, warranty and cost of operation impact of decisions. A proactive approach to problem solving is expected.   JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS: Works under the supervision of senior engineer or manager to investigate issues, establish root cause, and make adaptations/modifications to existing designs. May initiate original designs. Provides support for new product development teams. Works with cross-functional groups at the direction of a Lead Engineer or Program Manager. Works with external suppliers to develop and test components or sub-systems. Works with Test Engineering to develop new components. Establishes test and functionality requirements either at supplier or in our test lab, as well as reliability targets and test plans to validate them. Keeps the manager informed of progress, changes, priorities, and project cost/schedule status. May recommend changes in project direction in response to changing business requirements. Follows established procedures and guidelines for most decisions. Travels to customers and suppliers as required. Experience with a new product development process, and/or multi-disciplinary teams is desirable. Proficiency in the use of Pro-Engineer / Creo or a similar 3D modeling software is also desirable, as is knowledge or experience with the Toyota Production System. An understanding of GD&T and the basic principles of DFMA are also preferred. The successful candidate will possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments for multiple customers (internal and external) and good technical presentation skills (written and oral), as well as excellent team, communication, and planning skills. Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in an applicable engineering field, computer science, or a professional license, with a minimum of 3-5 years engineering experience.  Master's degreepreferred. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
